Misty leads Value Added Protein for Cargill Food North America. Value Added Protein encompasses all the cooked meats and prepared protein products, including eggs and alternative protein products. Prior to this role, she served as President of the Foodservice Channel and Customer Service team for Cargill Protein North America.
Misty joined Cargill in 2005 as a brand manager for Cargill’s largest beef program. She went on to lead marketing for Cargill’s beef business where her team launched new beef programs with major retail and foodservice operators. Misty also led Cargill’s Beef Foodservice Sales, working with most major chains and distributors. She then spent time in operations as the general manager of Cargill’s McDonald’s hamburger plant before leading the sales team that represented Cargill’s global products sold to Walmart and Sam’s Club.
Prior to Cargill, Misty worked for Sullivan Higdon & Sink advertising for eight years.
Misty holds a B.A. degree in Communications from Wichita State University. She is the executive sponsor of Cargill’s Wichita hub Veteran’s Military Support Network, oversees Cargill’s local philanthropical giving, serves on the boards of Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, Wichita State’s Barton School of Business and Meritrust Credit Union.
Misty and her husband, along with their 15-year-old daughter, currently live in Wichita, Kansas. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, as well as running, hiking and being outdoors.
