Anne Steckel has advanced renewable energy and low-carbon fuel solutions for more than two decades. As Principal and Founder of Ardent Strategies, LLC, she brings deep expertise in federal and state renewable fuels policy, with experience spanning legislative, regulatory, advocacy, and political work both on and off Capitol Hill.
Anne founded Ardent Strategies to serve a broad coalition of stakeholders, including farmers, fuel producers, and fuel distributors. Through the firm, she has represented the National Farmers Union, advocating for policies that support the growth and deployment of biofuels across transportation and energy markets. She is widely respected for building consensus and delivering measurable policy outcomes in complex political environments.

Previously, Anne served as Vice President of Federal Affairs at Clean Fuels Alliance America. She has held senior roles on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff to Mike Thompson and Legislative Assistant to Richard Durbin, and has directed government relations for the American Farm Bureau Federation and Growth Energy. A recognized thought leader, Anne has testified before Congress, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and executive branch agencies, and currently serves as Vice President of the Board of the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition.
